2024 Te Whare Āniwaniwa
Project Launch

28 November 2024

The Tāmaki Makaurau Rainbow community was invited to celebrate the project launch at the Charlotte Museum in Newton.

Guests were welcomed by Te Whare Āniwaniwa Collective Board members and staff.  Te Whare Āniwaniwa patrons Chloe Swarbrick and Richard Hills spoke about the benefits of a rainbow centre/hub for Tāmaki Makaurau's queer communities and the need for all the communities and allles to come together in the current climate.

The collective is setting up a community advisory panel to provide advice to the board as the project progresses.  The launch provided an opportunity for people to express interest in joining either the Trust Board or the community advisory panel - Community Collaborative Committee (CAC).  Anyone interested ito join, please contact kiaora@tewhareaniwaniwa.co.nz

Registrations of interest are now closed.

Function and Space Questions

TWA is seeking information from organisations and individuals who may be interested in joining our kaupapa. The questions focus on what type of space and organisational needs you may have. At this point we are just gathering information, it doesn't indicate any commitment from you.

How would you classify what you or your organisation does?

General Spaces

Health and Wellbeing Spaces

Art, Cultural and Education Spaces

Retail/Hospitality Spaces

Shared Services

How many staff, volunteers or 'other' people does your organisation need to accommodate during these hours?
Would you or your organisation be able to pay some form of rent or koha for usage?
Would you or your organisation be interested in signing a Memorandum of Understanding or partnership agreement to formalise your interest?
