Te Whare Āniwaniwa | Rainbow Hub is an LGBTQI+ centre in development which is designed to increase the health and wellbeing of rainbow communities in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. The project to develop Te Whare Āniwaniwa is governed by the Board of the Trust, Te Whare Āniwaniwa Collective (TWA). It’s kaupapa is to create a space in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland for rainbow people, prioritising rainbow-led and rainbow-inclusive organisations in all facets of its governance and activities.
TWA seeks board members passionate about transformative change, skilled in relationship-building, and open to innovative approaches for uplifting rainbow communities. Ideal candidates have commercial acumen, governance experience, and familiarity with the LGBTQI+ community, preferably based in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. Trustees govern TWA per strategic outcomes, ensuring the organisation's well-being through strategic leadership and integrity. We seek expertise in: • Social investment and evidence-based approaches • Service commercialisation and design • Government relations and public sector knowledge • NFP partnerships and collaboration • Fundraising and revenue diversification • Te Ao Māori and mātauranga perspectives Essential attributes include lived experience in the rainbow community, high ethical standards, and proactive focus.
